Short list of mods.  Power By The Hour installed 2018 GT350R front brakes, ATI 10% lower, 2.5 upper, Steeda balljoints, Koni Yellows, Maximum Motorsports bump steer kit, rear 2014 GT500 brakes with DBA rotors, Lund NGauge, and a few other things recently.  No rear Brembo calipers...not worth $2500 for the parts for the type of driving I do.

Dropped the car off at Power By The Hour to get all the stuff installed.  Hope to have it back next week.

ATI 10% Lower

Adding the ATI 10% lower and changing the upper pulley to a 2.5 from the 2.4 to stay on 93 pump gas.  Using a Gates Racing Belt as well.

A few upgrades are coming for the GT500.  I went with a full GT350R front brake conversion courtesy of FullTiltBoogieRacing with Caliperfexion slider bolts.

2013/2014 GT500 brakes for sale. 6-piston red front calipers, standard rear.

These were a take-off set from Shelby in Vegas for a SuperSnake conversion.  Shelby said the car was new but I think it had a thousand or two miles on it.  What you see is what you get.  Due to the weight, local sale in Orlando or Miami FL is prefered.  $1200.

Recent pics of the GT500

Power By The Hour installed the Carbon Fiber driveshaft, McLeod clutch & slave cylinder, 2014 GT500 radiator fan, larger alternator pulley (to slow it down...factory pulley spins too fast), and did an overall inspection to verify everything was still working 100%.  Driveshaft makes it drive buttery smooth and the clutch feels factory, super easy to drive.  As always, the work was flawless.

Lot of elbow grease working on the paint...it's still horrible but at least it shines some now.

New install update

Having Power By The Hour install a new McLeod 1200 hp clutch kit with lightweight flywheel.  Was hoping to have a DSS carbon fiber driveshaft installed at the same time but Lethal & DSS couldn't come through in time so now that will have to wait a few months.  Pretty frustrating.

Also having some suspension pieces installed - Maximum Motorsports bump steer kit, Steeda ball joints, BMR sway bar end links, 2013 GT500 radiator fan, BMR driveshaft safety loop, and some other odds and ends.

Legal services - NFA (Gun) trusts

As an attorney licensed to practice law in Maryland, I offer NFA trusts (also known as gun trusts) for law abiding Maryland residents.  My website is www.emeraldcoastguntrusts.com  This is my way of giving back to my fellow gun owners and helping to protect our second amendment rights.  If you are on svtperformance, let me know and I'll give you a discount.

If there is enough interest, I may start doing them for FL residents and VA residents.

First day at Mickyard leaves much to be desired

Well, so far the Mickyard event has been consistent in its disorganization.  From the Pony Cruise to registration and parking, it's been pretty poor in my opinion.  The parking for the display cars is not in a good location either.  At this point, I don't plan on attending another Mustang Club of America event.  I thought this event would be the right choice over Dream Cars Weekend but the communication and organization of Dream Cars has been much better.  Hopefully the spectators enjoy Mickyard and can get to see the show as well as display cars tomorrow and Sunday.

Mustangs at the Mickyard

I'll have my car at Mustangs at the Mickyard (Disney in Orlando).  It's the same weekend as the Dream Car show, Labor Day weekend, also at Disney.  If you see me around, give a shout.  Although I won't have time for a full detail, it should be in good shape for the show.  I'll do a full clay, light polish, seal, several layers of carnauba, and a final gloss enhancer in a few weeks.  This show only has a wax job...ran out of polisher and couldn't get it in time for the show.

New badges installed.

I finally installed the custom badging from Billet Pro Shop over the weekend.  The build quality is outstanding - easily OEM quality.  The attention to detail and ability to customize the badging really sets them apart.

The install only takes a few minutes and the badges install with automotive 3M tape.  I elected to reuse my factory grill snake which simply reattached with 3M tape.  I attend a show every month and, to my surprise, these badges drew a number of compliments.  They were a huge hit.  I'll take pics and post them up soon.

New Steeda rear X-brace

I installed the new Steeda X-brace.  I still need to trim the panels but this should give you an idea of how it will look.  I removed the polished Steeda plate and painted it textured black so it blended better.  Fitment is great and I installed it myself in about 30 minutes.

There are a few reasons I went with this brace over the Boss 302 brace available through Ford Racing Performance Parts (FRPP).  First if function.  In my opinion, the Boss 302 brace is marginally functional at best.  It does not tie in the rear shock towers nor is it made of anything substantive.  Second, the FRPP brace does not allow you to retain the rear seat.  Third is price.  The FRPP brace is over $1,000.  The Steeda brace is $299.  Fourth, ease of install...the FRPP is not quick to install.

Custom coil covers info

For those that are wondering, the GT500 custom coil covers, which are on the red powder coated cam covers, were done by Brian Pancoast from The Powder House.  His contact info is at the bottom of this post.  I sent Brian a set of Shelby coil covers (first picture).  Since Shelby only lightly etched their logo and name on the cover, Brian did a complete custom vinyl overlay which enabled him to powder coat the custom colors while maintaining the Shelby design.  He nailed the colors and lettering then followed up with a coat of clear.  I couldn't be happier with his work - simply amazing.
